Final Piece Evaluation..

For unit 2, the theme is misery. I made a photo book, I developed my idea through an investigation into Martin Parr's work and lomography . I ensure this was sustained by identifying a specific theme /style/colour palette.

I experimented with techniques such as experiment with light leaks, etc. The media and materials I focused on were photography, I chose these media and materials because photography is easy to work with and work out very nice, and photography is the most straight t forward material. the main processes involved in this project is photography and work in Photoshop. I have recorded my ideas in this project mainly through the use of  photography. I have reflected on the sampling I did and decided that the mist successful technique was experiment with light leaks.

Also I also have look at lomography because lomograph holds a charm all of its own. Somehow, everything is amplified, making ordinary objects stand out, enhancing details that would normally go unnoticed. Characterised by ever-changing variables such as the mysterious vignettes that frame the shot, light leaks, lo-fi grain, beautiful blurs, the magical balance of contrast and saturation … just to name a few.

A combination these factors and a healthy touch of the unexpected go into making each Lomograph unique. Essentially, Lomography embraces the element of surprise that only analogue film photography can bring and wholeheartedly celebrates the outcome.

Experiment with different kinds of films, and try different tips and techniques, such as cross-processing (x-pro) – it works well with Lomographic cameras!
